Description: This work is also created on birch bark, again using charcoal left from a burned log. There’s a certain truth in that for me: something alive and real can emerge from what has been burned. The painting wasn’t planned — it came from a feeling. I simply started drawing, and the result was two figures: a man and a woman.
There’s no fiery passion here, no dramatic gestures or loud declarations. This isn’t a story about love that shouts. It’s about the kind that’s quiet. About how two people can simply stand next to each other — in silence. No explanations. And still, feel everything.
I wanted to capture a sense of presence. When two people aren’t rushing, not demanding, not filling the air with words. When simply being there is enough. Looking in the same direction. Feeling warmth nearby. Understanding — without words.
This piece is about quiet closeness. About the kind of silence that speaks louder than conversation. About trust. About balance. About how, sometimes, love is not in action — but in presence. In just being near. And that being near is enough.
